Pearl Harbor
Today marks the 80th anniversary of the "Day of Infamy", December 7, 1941, when Japan launched a surprise raid against Pearl Harbor.
ON THIS DAY: 80 years ago, the Empire of Japan launched an air raid on the U.S. Navy base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii.
The raid claimed 2,403 American lives, and the United States declared war against Japan the next day.
